Delivered: Big Life Journal Teen Edition - The Growth Mindset Journal for Teens and Tweens
“Delivered:” is a series in which we look at crowdfunded ideas that have successfully shipped to their supporters. We dive into the final product, after its long journey from concept to fulfillment.
We put a lot of pressure on today's teens. From school to sports to other extracurriculars, on top of the pressures from peers and social media, it's no wonder so many of them struggle with depression and low self-esteem. That's why the team behind the Big Life Journal Teen Edition created this growth mindset journal: to help teens create and accomplish goals and help them keep a positive outlook.
I love that it teaches how to rewire your brain for positivity. I often get stuck in the "fixed mindset" they describe instead of the "growth mindset," and they emphasize that we can accomplish a lot when we put in the effort and persevere.
In addition to helping teens learn positivity and think about their goals and future plans, I love that the Big Life Journal helps them learn how to manage stress and learn from failures. It teaches them to look at failures as opportunities to grow and learn instead of an opportunity to give up. Even though the journal is meant for teens and tweens, I found it useful for me as an adult, as well. I needed that reminder to make goals, stay positive, and not be afraid of failure.
