Delivered: Kuroi Hana - Japanese Steel Knives
“Delivered:” is a series in which we look at crowdfunded ideas that have successfully shipped to their supporters. We dive into the final product, after its long journey from concept to fulfillment.
I love creating in my kitchen and I spend a lot of time preparing food, so I can tell you there is almost nothing worse than trying to cut with a low-quality knife. Good quality knives are absolutely essential, so I was thrilled to give Edge of Belgravia's Kuroi Hana knife collection a try. The creators wanted to make knives that were precision instruments while also inspiring creativity with the sleek and unique design.
From the moment I took them out, I was impressed by how sharp they were. I could tell these were of the highest quality and could help me tackle any challenge my cookbook throws my way without any frustrations. They fit in perfectly in any chef's kitchen, whether professional or amateur.
Kuroi Hana has 67 layers of Japanese steel that make the elegant floral-like design on the blades. The sleek handles are easy to grip so I can have a steady hand when making precision cuts. The collection includes six knives, each with their own function. My favorite was the slicing knife, which cuts through meat with very little resistance so each slice comes out perfect and ready to plate.
