“Delivered:” is a series in which we look at crowdfunded ideas that have successfully shipped to their supporters. We dive into the final product, after its long journey from concept to fulfillment”

The Sissi Strawberry is the world’s first strawberry tree. It makes it very easy to grow strawberries on my balcony outside without having to make a place for them in the garden. I love the fact that I can keep a close eye on my strawberries to make sure that they are free from pests or overexposure of the sun. The modular and space saving design allows me to grow organic and fresh strawberries. It is perfect for urban gardening where there is not a lot of space but people want to grow their own plants.

The Sissi can be used in a variety of ways as a tall tree, small tree, elevated tree, or as a hanging tree. It is made out of a strong plastic material. The tree can easily be assembled and then stacked. Simply fill the cavity of the tree with soil and then place the plants inside. The water distribution system inside of the tree ensures that every compartment will be able to receive water. Simply pour the water into the top of the stack and the water will reach where it needs to be.

The Sissi is made out of a recyclable Propylene. It has a high quality surface and is UV resistant. The modular compartments will turn 360 degrees. They easily snap into one another  and can be individually configured to face whatever direction that you need them to. All of the compartments are self contained to have the perfect soil volume for strawberry plants. The tree is designed to keep water in each compartment for perfect irrigation.

The Sissi has made it easy for me to grow my own plants at home. The way that it is designed has also made a very convenient gardening experience for me. I don’t spend a lot of time weeding or watering because by having my plants in this stack I can simply water them and they grow. It’s easy to have this with a busy lifestyle and still be able to enjoy the benefits of having my own plants. To find out more about the Sissi  and it’s design please visit the links below.
