“Game On” is a series in which we examine the companies, creators, and games in crowdfunding. We look at the journey, ideas, and concepts the creators wanted to bring to market with their product.”

Elephant Playing Cards is a passionate team of designers. Their team is not very big but they are dedicated to bringing new and creative playing cards to collectors and players alike. The first deck that they created was Prism Night. This deck of cards incorporated gloss ink onto the cards fronts, and tactile layered gloss ink on the tuckbox. The aim of each of their designs is to be functional, enjoyable, and interesting.

Their Circuit Playing Cards were released on June 4, 2019 on Kickstarter and were funded in 24 hours. Because of the swiftness of the funding and the lack of complication in the project they were able to speed up the production process. By June 25 they had reached 670 backers and had raised over $40K for the production of their Circuit playing cards. Elephant Playing Cards teamed up with Crowd Ox for their surveys to collect data from the backers to fulfill their rewards. The cards shipped on August 13 making it a three short months from campaign to fulfillment.
